Not quite sure how I found your blog but am loving the musical advent calendar. Any advice about how I can get back to the Dec. 6th tune so I can forward it and the words of the carol to someone else? Thanks!! Marg H.
My Google reader had a beautiful post about a cat, but I cannot find it here on the site. Anyway, I loved the post and picturing you baking with your mother.
Thank you so much for your kind comment! I wrote that post about Little Cat on Friday evening... and as I was finishing up the typing, happened to look over towards the Guinea Pig Palace (the huge cage we have for Cookie and Cupcake) To my intense dismay, I suddenly realized that Cookie was extremely ill (guinea pigs can contract resperatory infections that can become fatal within as little as just a few hours... This is apparently what happened to poor Cookie).
I quickly pushed a button that I THOUGHT was "save" on my computer, but turned out to be "publish"... I was in such a state that evening, and so consumed with trying to save our little furry friend, it was several hours before I discovered what I'd done. I was feeling so terrible that night, after Cookie passed away, I couldn't bring myself to finish writing, and just withdrew the whole post.
I will try to sit down this evening and re-work "Little Cat". I do so appreciate that you enjoyed it-- for a few hours, anyway!!
The "Presto" (third movement) of Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 in G, BWV 1049, performed by The Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, and conducted by Sir Neville Marriner. Because it makes me happy, that's why.

oh I loved that!
You are so clever with the music! Good choices!
Thanks for this ... anything by the Barenaked Ladies simply rocks - their Christmas stuff is off the hook.

I love the Jingle Bells version - can just imagine you and your brother having fun with it!
Such a fun song.
The bunny has actually been introduced to this one already--not sure how I feel about it, but she does love it!!!
