Good-bye.

She was with me through thick and thin:
my longest, most unconditional, loving friendship.
"My first baby".

So long, sweet girl. Love you forever and ever.

oh, I'm sorry.

read the book Cat Heaven by Cynthia Rylant. A sweet, sweet picture book. MQ and I go through and name all the kitties in it after cats from our lives, past and present.

Thanks, PM...

It's been a terrible week. George the fierce, bad monster left me so suddenly, after 18 years, on Tuesday. I am completely bereft, she was like one of my own.

I will try and get a copy, and write her name on the title page.

Oh no, not the ferocious George! I am so sorry. We are catless these days, and it's not the same... a cat makes a house a home. We STILL miss Frankie, I just this week framed a picture of him curled up asleep with Chas. When Chas saw it, I thought he would cry. We know how you feel. Sending hugs.

OH MY ... there are NO words that can be offered, even after the fact ... I know how strong the bond you and your feline friends have forged throughout your life ... I fancied myself a dog person until my own feline friend entered my life ... Saying good bye to Diesel earlier this year was hard ...
Wish I could send you a hug from one cat lover to another ...

With thanks to you all... your kind words have really helped my poor spirits.

George suffered a stroke that Tuesday morning, and I ran out of my gr 6 class as fast as I could to try and reach her, after the telephone call came...

By the time I got to the vet's, George was paralyzed on one side, and didn't appear to be able to hear or see me. It ripped my heart right in half when she didn't respond to my voice, or my touch-- for the first time in our entire relationship.

The decision to put her down was the hardest choice I've ever made, and yet not "difficult". I couldn't have my Monster suffering.

We buried her ashes in a pretty corner of my garden on Good Friday.
